Make UK National Manufacturing Conference

CQ Strategic Marketing, Managing Director, Jackie Cook will be attending the Make UK National Manufacturing Conference on Tuesday 25th February 2020 at QEII Exhibition Centre in Westminster, London.

The sold-out event is expecting around 800 senior leaders and 20 exhibitors from the manufacturing sector across the UK.  The day’s programme has 5 hours of networking opportunities including sponsored seminars, regional connect areas, an extended lunch break and exhibition. Speakers at the event include Rt Hon Lord Sebastian Coe CH KBE, Broadcaster Andrew Neil and representatives from Ministry of Defence, Department for International Trade, NDI, UK Steel, Tata Steel, Airbus, ABB, BAE Systems and Siemens.

Jackie will be attending panel discussions on ‘Tackling the Skills Pipeline’ and ‘Small Steps for Big Results’ these will focus on some of the important issues in the manufacturing sector including, the skills shortage facing the industry and the changing digital technology.

Jackie Cook nominated for ATHENA International Leadership Award

CQ Strategic Marketing Managing Director, Jackie Cook has been nominated for the ATHENA International Leadership Award, hosted by Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

Jackie who founded CQ Strategic Marketing nearly 8 years ago has been nominated for her voluntary work supporting other women in business and as a mentor with the Chartered Insititute of Marketing (CIM), being part of the team that set up the senior leaders networking group The Lyons Den, promoting careers in STEM and providing work experience placements to many young people through her involvement with The work-wise Foundation and Get up to Speed with STEM event.

Jackie said “I am extremely honoured to have been nominated for the ATHENA International Leadership award and am looking forward to spending time with the other amazing nominees at the International Women’s Day event in March. I greatly admire some of the women I know who are previous honorees and recipients of this award and am very proud to be considered.”

“As a woman working in the still very male dominated manufacturing sector, inspiring, supporting and developing Women in STEM is something I am passionate about and I working on a number of initiatives at the moment which will reinforce the ATHENA values to Live Authentically, Learn Constantly, Advocate Fiercely, Act Courageously, Foster Collaboration, Build Relationship, Give Back and Celebrate.”

The ATHENA awards are celebrated world-wide and the Sheffield City Region is the only place in the United Kingdom that host these awards.
